So, I don't normally subscribe to blog-memes, however I saw one which was showing a picture of what your desktop currently looks like. Being a desktop developer, I just had to do this.

So, what does your desktop look like?

Is this basically a daily screenshot? Like, run a cronjob that screenshots & uploads a PNG? -Link, http://www.subpop.net

No.

But that would also be hilarious. You have gotten me thinking of a screenshot-upload-applet. Not because I'm addicted to applets, but because it would be useful to have a "don't screenshot now" mode to prevent it from screenshotting that cybersex you were having with that 17/f/chile who was really a 45/m/boston.

Nah, it's an excellent choice. Sure, I would nowadays pick Ubuntu, but it's still a good second choice. Perhaps a less gratuitious background is in order though... ;)

It was an Ubuntu installation originaly but I mixed it with Debian and other mysteroius apt sources I cannot explain :-D
But just few years ago my desktop looked like that (http://images.google.pl/images?q=beos), and I still miss some (http://www.epsi.pl/~mifau/g/contextPathTrans.gif) features it have had.
Greets,
Michael

I did the same at my site (http://www.zotnix.com).

I have to say... wow... you use a lot of applets. Then again I suppose that is because you are the applets maintainer.

It has been commented on at presentations. I don't think I'm running more applets then I was before I became maintainer (maybe one or two I hated then fixed). It's more that I became maintainer because I ran a lot of applets. Or something.
