Oliver's Birthday, a Teddy Bears Picnic, a Shiny Girlpenguin and other adventures
04:23 pm
Good Afternoon Boy and Girls,
Today you are going to here a story about nothing in particular. In fact... this nothing is now stopping because lets face it, the beginning of this post was just stupid.

--- starting again ---

Catching up on the net since yesterday, seeing as once again in my effort to break a rather solid addiction that I have I actually acknowledged to having a life.
In this life I pretend to have, I went to Oliver's party at Story Time Village... with my teddy bear. Now my parents, my brothers and some random on the street found it a little weird to see a guy dressed in black walking along holding a teddy. I don't think any of them really understood.
The party was fairly cool, perhaps not as cool as the "Come as Another UniSFAn" party, because lets face it, that was just cool.
My teddy bear received his first bisexual experience. He had a threesome with Adam's wangbear (the bear really has a wang) and Coman's bear(?). Personally I thought it was really rather amusing.
Rae had a pink bear with a rainbow on it. Symbolic do you suppose? Apparently that bear is a lesbian. Doesn't it say something when your bears have sex lives?
Bailed out of the party at around midnight and idled towards the House of Pain with a tired penguin. I still can't get over how comfy her bed is, even if it still has a slight smoke smell.
The residents of the HofP are right, the house has had Sleep cast over it. Personally I think goth.Chris may be involved, he is a dark mage, and is certain to have nemsis. Stayed in bed till around 10.00 (maybe a bit later) snuggling. Definitely more then like her, especially when we're just holding each other. Maybe it's cliche, but that just seems to beautiful.
Spent a bit of time with Coman, and his most amusing music. He has a song about what is gay and what is straight, and although it seems so totally random, on some strange level it actually makes sense.

I had a thought today (random thought association). Stephie has a younger sister, whom is coming to uni next year (I believe). She could very well come to UWA, then she would be a fresher. Enter scenario: Froggy. Does anyone see where this is leading? Ok, I'm sure that Stephie's sister would know to stay away from Froggy, but wouldn't it be so innanely wrong?

Now back onto my boring life: Help tidy up Storytime Village a little, vacuumed Adrian's room for him seeing as the bitch is in Sydney. I don't know why, maybe cause he's been there so long and looks like he could stay longer, but I get the feeling that Adrian may not actually come back. I have to admit, that is more then a little depressing, cause I was so used to seeing him around uni, and he made quite a good mentor, even if he wouldn't let me steal his VA Linux sticker.

Apparently I'm Stephie's bitch, but noone would explain why. I find that distressing. I don't like the idea of being someone's "bitch" somehow it removes my individuality.

Uni starts on monday, yay for 08.00 maths. I am going to go insane again! I almost did last semester. Although tonight I get to go to WASO, seeing (listening; as apparently your not allowed to 'see' music) Holst's The Planets. I have a suspision that Oliver and Pam are going.

I might go and rip some more MP3s. Hence will write more later.

Oh, one more thing. A big Hi and thanks to Ben who was reading my journal and sent me lots of mail. It brought another highlight to today. Hopefully you will make it back to Au in one piece and then you can see how scary uni really is.

Rock on all of you.

WASO, one of the cultural gems in this fair state. A flower of the city in which I live.
There was some talk on the programme about spheres, and an astronomy display in the foyer. I guess they may have played The Planets.
They also played some dribble before hand with a small group of brass players and a bongo. Oh, and a gong, but I don't think that counts.
The violin concerto... interesting, seemed to be 2 movements shorter then quoted, although I was falling asleep. For some reason I couldn't stop thinking about sex. I was thinking about sex, in a violin concerto, in D minor!! I mean... if it was F minor I would be able to understand it, but D minor?
Still...
Once the issue that is interval was gotten over, with my attempts to disown my family, we finally got down to what I was after... the Holst.
I love The Planets, it is a brilliant piece of music, and I have been waiting all year to see it performed. Mars was brilliant as it always is (EVNova does it injustice), I absolutely love that movement.
The other thing that intruiged me is that in the final movement, Neptune, the chorus isn't actually on stage. They were behind the stage, making the sound absolutely surreal. Mmmm.... beautiful music.

I might go and find where I have this on CD now... perhaps I should add it to my MP3s.
