Yes, I am watching the Great Debate, "
There is Nothing Sexier then the Naked Truth". Absolutely mint!
I am not sure what I have written in my journal lately, I haven't been updating it as often as I should. Although some people would argue that me not writing it actually a good thing, I believe I really should write everything down. I have a bad memory.
However, I have deceided that I'm actually going to write less about a certain penguin that I seem to talk about constantly. Why? because a large number of people have implied that they really don't want to read about all the things we get up to, in graphic detail.
Now, onto things that have taken place recently...
MondayMonday was a little bit sucky to start with, also rather boring. I went to a different calculus lecture from my own (meaning I haven't yet been to one of my own maths lectures this week). I then idled around a bit, deposited my cheque and spent a bit of time at the House of Pain. Entering the House of Pain, as usual was a mistake, I emerged some 2.5 hours later having missed towo lectures, one of which I later discovered was rather important.
The most interesting part of the day was to follow, I got a call (halfway through what would have been IPE to go and fix the router that I installed late last week. Basically, iiNet was on crack, and nothing worked like it was meant to. It took me about an hour to fix it so that it wouldn't actually break again.
Eventually came back to uni, helped Russ install
Debian on his computer, saw Sam and Tom, idled back to the House of Pain, watched the Matrix and went to bed.
TuesdayWoke up at around 09.00, notably late for maths. Didn't end up going to maths, instead staying in bed with Steph until about 10.30 managing to miss yet another IPE lecture. My attendance record for IPE is not very high, that could be a problem for quite a number of reasons. Walked into EE with Andrew, noted EE was full, walked out. That is another thing I should really stop doing, most of the EE lectures are overful, yet I shouldn't walk out of them like that.
I seem to recall that I spent quite a bit of time on Tuesday avo also snuggling, followed by a 3 hr IPE tutorial. I discovered in this hallowed tutorial that we had a written assessment (worth 5%) to write bullet points about how great the Institute of Engineers was, which is what was covered on Monday. Basically, I had nothing to write, so I walked out after two hours, and eventually idled back to the House of Pain with Tom, Max and goth.Chris to think about dinner.
Stephie rocked up half an hour late because she had gone to find me at the end of her lecture, and ended up spending time in UCC, and buying chocolate, which apparently she didn't need. After much stuffing around, in which Tom went to get pie where there was no pie, and I had to go with Froggy and Steph as their
chapperone (that's right, Frog and Steph are going to have an illucid affair behind their respective fresher's backs).
Went down to KK's on Broadway (formerly The Last Drop) for a pint with Matthias and Tom, it's the first time I've actually been down there. Really quite nice and old world, making you feel like your back in Europe. What I forgot was that I was rather tired, and hadn't eaten all day, so it actually hit me harder then it really should have. I wasn't tipsy but I was lulled for the next hour.
Dinner was really quite good. Froggy and Steph make for good kitched bitches. Tom was a little put out that he got thrown out of the kitchen, so he just came and hung out with us in Coman's room. Kandece and Rick were violating Coman's bed, Coman was taping them on his webcam.
Unfortunately I had to go before pie, as my lift had finished TAFE. I did get to steal a bit of cheesecake (did I ever mention I'm a cheesecake addict, especially if it's lemon) and a kiss.
I kissed Steph in front of my Dad before I got into the car. The conversation was interesting.
Simon: So...
davYd: So
Simon: That was Stephie?
davYd: Yes it was
Simon: Is she your girlfriend?
davYd: I choose not to answer that on the basis I will incriminate myself
I don't know if he got around to telling Mum, but he was definitely dropping huge hints. I don't think Mum does know, or maybe she is just keeping quiet about it. She could be in denial...
WednesdayI woke up 20mins late today, and as a result didn't get a shower or food before I left. Got to uni after my dicussion about how I was going to start on a new stream of responsibility, doing all my work and attending all my lectures. I then proceeded to walk right past my maths lecture theature.
Aaron: So what were you saying about responsibility?
davYd: I'll start this afternoon...
I ended up going to the House of Pain and crawling into bed. I also vowed that would be the last time I got into a bed in the house until Friday evening. Got to snuggle for a few hours before having to get up for an 11.00 EE lecture.
I actually convinced Andrew to stop playing games 15mins early so that we could actually get a seat in EE. That proved to be a wise choice as there were only two seats left, as well as the fact they started a new topic today on which I only have a basic knowledge.
Went back to the house for a while so that Steph could have lunch, and transcribe her notes. Managed not to do anything dodgy (I was being responsible remember?).
The most interesting point of the afternoon was attending a Company Law lecture. Although Steph thinks that I'm a freak, and I'm sure that many others also do, I actually really like Corparate Law. Not enough to change my degree (I would have to be on crack to want to do law) but enough to have enjoyed the lecture. Although the lecturer kept staring at me, I have a suspision that he realised I wasn't actually really in his class.
Once again, wondered back to the house, by this point I had decieded that I wasn't going to spend the evening playing Warcraft III, and instead spend some of it with Steph.
She was transcribing her notes from the last lecture (I don't understand how she has the mental disipline to do this) and I was being responsible, therefore non-dodgy. Ultimately this resulted in me being tied up, but you get that.
Incidently, the House of Pain now has emergancy condoms, probably a good idea. Also incidently Warcraft III is a great game.
I also have to make sure I don't get into bed until the weekend, because it burns up all my time, and it does it really quite easily. However, I think Mum's friend (who I really dislike) will be staying from Friday till Sunday, so I might just not come home during that time. Mum doesn't seem to understand that I could easily spend several days out, and that the housemates don't mind. I seem to be spending so much time at the house. Personally I love it, although it could get expensive. I need a job to support my fast paced, expensive lifestyle. Hopefully my cheque has cleared tomorrow, I have more then a few IOU's to get rid of.
I really can't think of anything else to write right now. Oh, except for Guild Hacks are evil, Steph ran into a few at mini-O-day. Tom and I choose instead to buy nachos.
