It's been rewritten in gtk 2, and Python. Now featuring, gammu for faster, saner SMS handling, full unicode support (have you noticed the top message is in chinese?), a more sane API for adding messages to the bottom banner... as well as generally being less crap. Definitely something that Bernard and I can be proud of. The source code to the new version is not yet released, noone has decided on a license.
