In Australia, we do things differently....

It's official, GNOME.conf.au is going ahead!

GNOME.conf.au is one of the miniconfs that has been offered at linux.conf.au for the past two years and will be happening again in Dunedin, 2006. We've had a number of big name, exciting speakers in the past including Luis Villa, Havoc Pennington, Robert Love, Glynn Foster, Keith Packard, James Henstridge and Trent Lloyd, as well as myself, and of course Jeff Waugh (woah woah woah, what is he good for?).

So, what should you do now? Well, if you want to talk (and we encourage you to), you should email Jeff or myself a brief description of your talk. If you just want to attend (sure you don't want to talk?) then put your name on the list.

Andy F from Brisbane has done a brilliant shirt design, so if you're interested in getting a T-shirt, you should put down your size. We don't have pricing yet, but hopefully someone will get around to sorting that out soonish.

Thanks to the organisers of linux.conf.au for getting us good to go. We're going to have a blast. If you were thinking of boycotting l.c.a, because GNOME.conf.au wasn't running: don't.
