Went to see Miami Vice tonight. It was great in the way it was like having my very long penis stroked for 2 hours. Fast cars, fast boats, more sex scenes than was really required, everything a hot-blooded man could want. I drove home in 3rd gear and cut the apexes off my turns to pretend that I was driving really fast. It is worth mentioning that I am getting John Ortiz to play Lucas Rocha in GUADEC the Movie.

Now if only I could grow a decent tash...

Saw the trailer for 48 Shades which appears to be the Australian version of the typical American teen film. The trailer was absolutely appalling, the first half was fine, but then they added this voice over to turn it into some little quaint Australian film. I can only assume that is Buena Vista's fault, trying to aim the movie at American audiences. After all, Australians are quaint. Still, I am going to go and see it. The images and dialogue seemed authentic, and there is something about sitting on a bashed up couch in the middle of your dead lawn, after a party, in a singlet and shorts that is so quintessentially Australian-student. (FWIW, it appears to release in Australian on the 31st of August, it doesn't appear to have a US release date).
