The Rule of 1s states that before appearing in public, within the last 24 hours, you must have had at least: 1 hour of sleep, 1 meal and 1 shower.

At least I managed a bit of sleep.

I left the lab at about 6am this morning to go home and crash for a couple of hours, ended up sleeping through my alarm and had one of my group partners banging on my door 30 minutes before our presentation was due, with me not having printed it or anything. Madly rushed out of the house. Given the reactions of the lecturer during our project presentation, I think we will have done ok. Though he hasn't read the report yet. We didn't get the full layout done in actual physical terms, but we did complete the stick representation.

I gave a lightning talk on the state of my honours thesis. Got asked a number of questions. Listened to the other lightning talks for our research group. Some people are working on very interesting topics.
