a day for truly down-to-the-wire cricket

Sorry, India, even though you had an excellent first innings followed by Ponting making some really crappy decisions and an excellent defence by Kumble, it just wasn't your day.

However, in your face Queensland! After losing two of your wickets in the first over, we wondered if you were even going to get a whole 20 overs. It looked like you were still in with a chance while WA spent half a dozen overs reminiscing over the test match (and people became more interested in a tennis ball throwing game happening on the grass) and then your wicket on the second last ball while we were still 2 behind made us bite our nails, but the final ball boundary off the new batsman sealed it. I think we played a better game.

I got a free lunch today for writing 25 lines of Python. We should have that at work too.

While we were at a party at the house that I used to share with Steph, Alex, Grahame and Ben, Alex wanted to recreate a photograph he took when we all owned the exact same Nokia phone.

As it happens I'm the only one who still has the same phone (albeit with a replacement cover). Note Matthias' absence; he is not dead, simply in North America. I am glad to say that I've retained my hair line, but unfortunately I'm not as trim as I once was. That said, I think I'm wearing the same jeans.
