Steph and I are rather huge
Hugh Grant fangirls, so to add to our collection of movies he stars in we were given
Music and Lyrics for xmas. We actually got around to watching it tonight and it was really pretty awesome. Much the same plot as other Hugh Grant romantic comedies (especially Notting Hill, but with the roles reversed), so it wasn't going to get any awards (although Teen Choice Magazine did nominate it for Best Liplock 2007). Still, all in all, very fun. I think it will be one of my favourites.
I also forgot to mention
Keating!: the musical we just had to have; which Steph and I went to see a couple of weeks back. It really was a stack of fun. I loved quite a few of the numbers, especially the segment with the talking heads of Kerry O'Brian and Antony Green, the Mabo mambo and the ballad between Gareth Evans and Sheryl Kernot. The band were pretty awesome and I liked the way the players broke down the 4th wall in interacting with both the band and the audience with regularity. If you ever get the chance, check it out, even if you're not a dyed in the wool Labor supporter.
Apparently the blind get concession prices to cricket at the MCG.
